Re: Please help
Is there anything wrong with checking the river in 1? That's how I'd play it unimproved.
I also like raising 3rd street in 2.

I would never fold in this situation on the flop this deep. Now if the 3rd J came on the turn...

Re: handling tilt
1. Add donkey to friend list.
2. Stack him in another hand.
3. Repeat step 2 9/10 times.
4. Voila: tilt gone.

Re: 50NL Extracting value with these monsters
I think both are fine. What do you do on the first hand if you simply smooth call his min-raise and a 5,6,J,Q, or K comes up? There are a lot of potential scare cards on the turn. I like the push.

Re: don\'t limp the button? why the hell not?
yes, give the blinds a free shot with any two cards when you have a decent but vulnerable hand pre-flop. In an unopened pot, this is a must raise. If you had a few callers PF, I'd still raise. If...

Re: WSOP Day 2A: Ace on the River
Great anecdote! Barry has always shown himself to be a classy guy. I've e-mailed him questions a couple of times and he replied within hours both times. Congrats and best wishes the rest of the way.

LOL, I thought it was exceptionally good. Especially the last 2 days. I remember laughing at Gold for telling someone "there's no shame in checking" on a x57x7 board. The guy said "oh, yeah?" and...

Re: Card Player coverage
Too bad, the coverage was so good last year. Tons of hands given; very disappointing this year. Sucks about losing the rights.

Re: good spot for river c/r?
I think you need to value bet the river. With a set, he should've raised flop or turn with the str and flush draws present. Get paid.

Why didn't you bet on the river against a passive player? You can get away with a weak block here, and if you get raised, you can chuck it easily
I would fold though now.
