I was suppose to fly the plane that crashed in Lexington last year if it made it to Atlanta.
Also, any jet airplane can lose an engine on the runway, continue to takeoff and fly normally.

I would think that you are going to spend more on cabs back and forth to somewhere off the strip rather than just staying a cheaper place on the strip.
Sun to thurs should be relatively cheap...

when we went from Atlanta-toyko-australia, we were screened and had our passports stamped. We were only in Toyoko for about 5 hours.

Pay the rush fee, Then if you really need it, call your state representative and they will be able to get it for you in less than a week if you have a reservation overseas.

Just a hint, March isn't going to be your best bet for a cheap flight due to spring break. Consider pushing it back to April for a much better deal (not to mention the weather).

If you do buy a non-refundable ticket and need to get a passport quick, just call your state representative.
I called and was able to get one in 3 days since we decided to make a last minute trip....
