i guess a lot of it is because the roads here in england are way narrower. its basically impossible to do a straight u-turn on most of the streets. if i see a parking spot i'm immediately taking it and worrying about getting out later. alright, its a little bit of hassle but i don't think it's as dangerous as it's being made out to be (but again, that could be due to the narrower roads)

same here where I live, super narrow, longish streets, even a lot of two way streets you cant get 2 cars through, if one of the drivers isnt from the city

Everyone on my block, which is a two way street with parking on both sides, parks facing the same direction.

not counting driveways and garages

Call the police, it's not like they have better [censored] to do.

if the first thing that pops into your head over this problem is "call the police" you might just want to give up on life...cause it gets way harder.

Call the cops and report that. I can't imagine how you get out of the intersection with one more car behind that woman's suv.

Go the other way out of your street if it really annoys you that much

i can't possibly see why this would bother you. intersections with cars parked along the street are pretty much everywhere. what direction the car is facing is pretty irrelevant.

Just let the air out of a couple of tires and they will think twice about parking there.

i've heard that if you're parked the "wrong" way on the side of the street and your car gets hit, insurance won't cover it. can anybody confirm/deny this?
