Re: NL50 Bottom Set, unraised Pot

[ QUOTE ]
I think it's standard to see a cheap flop when you have a low PP and you know the limpers won't fold to a raise. conversely by not raising this situation can come up but it is also...

Okay at least someone else agrees with me here. This is all backwards and now my head hurts.

Re: NL50 Bottom Set, unraised Pot

[ QUOTE ]
I am getting more and more confused as time goes by. Let me clarify something, I never open limp. With that said, to focus on pre flop on this hand is just dumb, obviously there are much...

Re: NL50 Bottom Set, unraised Pot

[ QUOTE ]
Okay first of all, Im not op so I didnt misplay anything. I will agree pre flop is a raise but whatever, thats a small mistake. I dont think he called 25 with a 5 either, if I did then I...

Re: 30NL - 6 max - teach me to play QQ

Resistance on the turn or the river means your beat 90% of the time. I prefer to c/c on the turn in both of these hands and eval the river.

Re: NL50 Bottom Set, unraised Pot

[ QUOTE ]
Okay brea your post makes no sense whatsoever. Youre saying he would only bet if youre beat but checking is asking to get bluffed. I know checking is asking to get bluffed, thats why you...

Re: NL50 Bottom Set, unraised Pot

[ QUOTE ]
You realize they have over 120 bb's left each and there is a 4 straight? A push here feels like youre turning your hand into a bluff, I would rather give him the opportunity to take a stab...

Re: Should i fold this set on the flop?

All of you saying that someone doesn't raise with the made flush in this situation is crazy... Playing hands to break someone is better than smooth calling. You can call turn and see if you boat up....

Re: Just lost 16% of my roll in 24 hours. WTF TO DO?

Re: Just lost 16% of my roll in 24 hours. WTF TO DO?

[ QUOTE ]
It's been 24 hrs so you're due. If you double the stakes you'll be UP 16% by tomorrow. It's also possible you suck at poker as indicated by your lack of how to apply simple logic such as...

Just lost 16% of my roll in 24 hours. WTF TO DO?

Is there a point in continuing to play through this variance?? I actually feel like I could lose the rest of if I continue. WTF should I do?

Re: 50nl - JJ Standard?

Check with intention of folding if he fires a big get. If hes tight, hes not firing with less than a hand that has you beat. Lower pockets are not firing in tag mode.

Re: How often does villain CALL this bluff?

I think you played the hand way too passively to make the villain warrant folding here. If you lead the flop for pot, then double barrel the turn on 3/4 pot you are more likely to make him think. ...

Set of 5s with a card that completes broadway on turn

I think I underbet the flop which made his decision a little easier on flop. Based on his aggresive bet on turn, I put him on flush draw with the made straight. Any comments?? Did I misplay this...

Re: flopped flush, how is my play?

I don't like to lose pots I should have won with proper betting. If I was you, I'd check raise the flop to pot, and make the guy pay for his draw. If he has top pair with Ah, you can certain this...

Re: JJ in BB>>> Victim of my error?

Totally agree with you. I was trying to switch gears and vary my play but as a result I got outplayed... Everytime I try and vary my play I seem to get cracked or outplayed.

Re: JJ in BB>>> Victim of my error?

I agree that I totally misplayed this hand for a number of reasons:

1. I didn't 3 bet to determine the strength of his hand
2. I didn't check-raise flop to find out where I was
3. The...

JJ in BB>>> Victim of my error?

I had repopped this guys several times during the session, he laid down everytime. I figured I'd let him into a flop with me. At this point, I'd say he was somewhat frustrated with me. Is my fold...

Re: AK suited in big blind in a 3 bet situation?

This is just giving money away, cause if the guy shoves on me I am committing myself to calling and quite frankly I can find a better spot to get my money where I have a bigger edge.

Re: AK suited in big blind in a 3 bet situation?

I don't think its profitable to call because even if we are facing KK-JJ, its likely that the A will slow the guy down and if thats the case, folding seems like my best option. Its hard to not fold...

Re: AK suited in big blind in a 3 bet situation?

No stats but I think hes a tag style player. I am deff not a fan of flat calling out of position but reraising seems like a mistake given the 2nd repop
