Re: AA UTG 1st hand of tourney

Check also = very very very bad.
You want to give free cards OOP against 2 players when you have AA in a huge pot and your stack is almost exactly the size of the pot? Do you not like money?

Re: AA UTG 1st hand of tourney

1/3 pot bet = bad.
Just shove it all in, and if they call you, great.

QQ Deep-stacked, 10th hand of tournament

This is the Stars 10+1rebuy+1addon - I sat out for the first four hands, then took my rebuy right off the bat so this tournament is now a freezeout for me.

This is the third pot I have played....

Re: 45man 1.20 - AQ two pair on scary board

Bet 350 on the turn, fold to a raise.

Re: AK 3-way in a tough spot

4-bet PF and end this pot before it gets ugly.

Re: I play this so weak. how do i play this better?

This line is good, anything more aggro and you risk bloating the pot. Your river bet is pretty thin BTW, I'd probably check and give him another chance to bluff at it.

Re: extracting the most with quads

I think you extracted the maximum here. With BB and MP1 going at it and you tagging along, you have the best chance. If you come out of the woodwork with a turn raise, the jig is up.

Re: PS 50/50: When Only 1 Hand Beats You

Why? The flop is fairly innocuous and AA/KK have shown so much strength preflop they are unlikely to get any action when they bet. Checking behind on the flop may induce Kramer to bet out on the...

Deep in 20-180 DISGUSTING meltdown with AK

We are at final two tables of a 20-180. No reads on Villain who has been at the table for two orbits and hasn't played a hand yet. Level is 500-1000 with a 100 ante. I tried to make a big enough...

Re: AQs - - - lots of action.

I like your reraise. It will help to define your hand when it's folded around to the original raiser, and if someone behind you wakes up with a big hand, they'll let you know it.

Now they are...

Re: 1st post here - did I play this wrong?

If this isn't a turbo, I like mucking, although the loosey-goosey nature of the raiser makes it iffy.

In your situation, I like a stop and go- just because there's a REMOTE chance it may induce a...

Re: possibly a horrible nitty play......advice

This is a clear muck. I've won several of these things (brag) and I've noticed that they are ALL about fold equity. Yeah, they're all-in fests because of the rapidly escalating blinds, but any decent...

$50+5 $25k Big pair/smallish stack/UTG

I have been folding for about an hour and a half and this is the second premium I've picked up during the course of the tournament. First premium was AQs, I was in the SB and squeezed a raiser and a...

Re: Small pair in the SB, is it correct to call a raise? (Stars 5-10)

Yeah I'm such a nit, I feel horrible that I folded the hand, especially because the board came A377A and the CO had AT.
Ugh.

Small pair in the SB, is it correct to call a raise? (Stars 5-10)

Very basic question. Fairly new to limit, I'm a NL junkie so this should be elementary to me but sadly it isn't. Would like to get your opinions on whether I should have called or folded this hand....

Re: 98s small blind steal.

[/ QUOTE ]

1. It's a turbo.
2. This is hardly FPS.
3. I will never get called by half the [censored] you think I will get called with. In fact, 88 and KQ are the ONLY two hands feasable here....

Re: playing the 109r wcoop main event qual as a freezeout

Because you have limited yourself to one buy you will be forced to fold in places where you normally should call.

Re: Simple hand vs Robert Williamson, WSOP ME day 1.

I like checking the river with the intention of calling a small bet. Betting seems worse, since you are unlikely to get called by a worse hand and if you get raised you must puke.

Re: I flop quads and bet...

You're probably more likely to get action by checking than by leading at this flop. Although no one will put you on quads, they WILL put you on a pocket pair and use that as an excuse to dump all...

Re: Am i the moron? Or has this guy lost his marbles?

You truly are a moron who knows absolutely nothing about poker. How can you not understand why it's correct to call here with 24o? Clearly your game needs serious work.

Your friend, on the other...
