Re: David Swensen\'s \"Pioneering Portfolio Management\"

Did you read the other book by David Swensen called "Unconventional Success : A Fundamental Approach to Personal Investment"? Which book do you think is better for individual investors?

Re: What\'s your favorite way to play this hand?

I think your line is fine, villain could have AJ, KJ or flush draw here a lot and raise you. Without a read this is probably not much else you could do here.

Re: $1/2 7 8 s

Having 50 vpip looks more like a calling station than LAG here.

Re: 100NL two pair fold

[ QUOTE ]
You're only really scared of 33/QT here and his range is wider than that here so I would call. I'd probbaly ditch to a big riverbet though if I didn't fill up.

Re: 100NL | AQ, valuebet river?

If you bet he raise all in, you are calling 55 to win 170. Are you really going to fold to a push?

Re: 200 NL - Trying to extract some more monies w/AK

I would bet the turn as villain can be drawiing a lot of hands. As played I raise the river preparing to fold to a shove.

Re: AK

Your line does not look very strong so far so he could bluff with a fairly large range. I call river.

Re: ITS EVERY1S FAVOURITE.....A PLAYALONG HAND!

[ QUOTE ]
check fold. You both still have more than a pot size bet left and if he bets it, it's not as a bluff. You beat nothing.

Re: 99 overpair

Given the action it looks like he has a smaller PP. Call him given the odd.

Re: AA rr pot royal fd flop, but for my stack?

You are not behind by much even if you get called by better hands, so I would just shove here.

Re: Enough fold equity to make this push?

He is going to call here a majority of time, plus you don't have the nuts even your draw hits.

Re: Pushing TPTK on the turn?

I called the 4bet hoping to see if I hit the flop. Now that I think about it I should just push the flop.

Re: What is my river play after seemingly good turn...

[ QUOTE ]
Why didn't you bet flop? As played calling river is fine.

[/ QUOTE ]
Given the odd, it looks like a easy river call.

Re: Dealing with Short stacks HU

If you have a read that villain often pushes with short stack then your play can be correct.
