Default Dealing with Short stacks HU

This is my new Standard line vs Short Stacks . what do you think?

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

SB ($168.55)
BB ($55.90)
UTG ($92.25)
MP ($101.10)

Preflop: Hero is CO with J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $0.50.
UTG calls $1, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $5</font>, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, BB calls $4, UTG folds.

Flop: ($11.50) 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
BB checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $20[/color

You blow him out of the pot for no real reason, he'd probably stick around with a 7 or 9 or flush draw, but you just made it impossible for him to continue. Make it 8, play it standard.

what makes you so sure he wouldn't stick around with tp or a flush or a straight draw? short stacks play with a short wit...

For double the pot? Not all shortstacks are retarded, and even retarded ones can fold most 9's there. You'd have to have some sort of read that he &lt;3&lt;3&lt;3&lt;3 chasing to make this a good bet.

If you have a read that villain often pushes with short stack then your play can be correct.

Meh, this is not a short enough stack try to push him out like that. If villain had $15 behind after the preflop action instead of the $50, I'd bet it all in, but just bet normal here. AJ is right with the bet sizing.
