Re: NL25, turned straight, line check
I agree with other on flop, just c/c. I don't like the c/r on turn as it would suck giving someone a free shot at backdoor flush if checked through. Also, you want to build the pot and that's a...

Re: NL 50 Stupid riverbets
I call here sometimes. Since you checked the turn and showed weakness he could be trying to buy. Reads help as well, if he's real straightforward I'll usually let it go.

Re: NL25 - Flop 2pair, minraised.
The fact it's sb making this plays is scarier than if it was UTG, who would probably have an overpair. sb can have any two. I'd reraise flop. However as played I like the fold.

Re: AKs - TPTK on nasty board
Checking the turn makes this a lot harder to play and define his hand. I think it's a must to fire again on the turn. You can't see monsters here yet, especially against what you described as a...

Re: Couple of 2 pair hands .25-.50
Thanks for the links, much appreciated! I called both hands and lost the first one to 5h2h, and the second I won against a poorly played AA. I agree I should have raised with A9s to try and isolate.

Couple of 2 pair hands .25-.50
These are a couple of middle strength hands where I was raised all in . Thoughts on any streets if needed appreciated.
villain in first hand was 42/18 but not crazy postflop.

Re: AKs pf in blind battle 50NL
I don't mind a fold here. 80 hands isn't really a huge sample. Since you haven't seen him 3-bet yet I'd give him credit this time until reads are better.

Re: $50NL -- From now on I fold AA
I think in both hands you need to raise more PF. In the first hand, with a limper, I like 2.50-3.00 In the second hand I'd RR to at least 5.

Re: NL25 1st time posting HH
I'd fold PF OOP. But, as played, I'd just call that turn bet and try to get a cheap showdown. His flop bet looks weak, pot control. But I think you'd have to fold the river. Your raise reps at...

Re: .5/1 top two vs weak player
I would let it go on the reraise, but it would be hard. But you're behind any set, and AJ. You're ahead of AA, weaker two pair (improbable), or AK. Actually, could even have KJs or QJs I guess and...

Re: thin call?
Fairly strong bet on river by villian. You've shown that you like your hand from PF right on through and he still donks you like this. Barring a strong read I'd let it go. I'd have to assume...

Re: 50NL: AKs - TPTK + FD on Turn
I think you played it fine. Raising flop seems standard against this type of player. After turn I'm not folding with TP/flush+straight draws so might as well put him all in.

Re: NL25 line check with AQ
Given unknown villian I'd probably fold to the turn raise. TPGK isn't great, and minraises could mean monsters. Don't know about getting it AI against lag but at least call down I'd think.

Re: Extracting value with a royal flush
I don't think it's a huge spew PF. I'd probably fold, but given that you called you have to be real careful postflop. Thankfully you hit the flop fairly hard. Aggressive raise on the flop. Would...

Re: 100NL: set facing all-in on river
Awful drawy board on flop. Would anyone recommend an overbet here? Flush card hits on turn. Reraise could mean flush, but also possible QQ KK, where AA probably would have RR PF. Read on player...

Re: $0.10 BB - AKs vs UTG Min Raise
Definitely RR PF. Buys the button and either takes the pot there or sets you up for a c-bet heads up. Postflop looks good, had to value bet river. I'm still learning NL, but these are my opinions ...
