Re: 200NL rate my shove
If you've got good reason to be building a lag image then maybe this is okay, in a vacuum this is a bit tilty especially preflop, although I expect the push worked that time.

Re: Are you kidding me?
You have the best hand about a third of the time here and he has Ace rag of spades 2 thirds of the time. Easy call.
Either betting or checking on the turn is okay - it all depends on your read at...

facing a 3 bet with QQ oop: 3 ways to play it
This is a fairly common situation: you are playing a 6max game, stacks are around 100bb, you make a standard 4bb raise in early position with QQ, a late position player makes a 3x reraise and...

Re: Stack-To-Pot Ratios: Introduction
My only criticism of the article is it almost advocates playing KK in a weak tight way.
With KK on a T75Q board you have no good reason to think you don't have the best hand. Assuming you know the...

Crypto player notes program
Hi,
Does anyone know of a program that exports/imports the player notes from one crypto site to another?
I'm fed up of writing player notes on Inter only to find the notes aren't there when I...

Re: (nl25) Preflop Queens
The Seat 4 player was more Tight-Passive aggressive than Tight Aggressive Aggressive. If he had 99-JJ then I think the flat call with QQ would have been a great bluff inducement. I think I will flat...

Re: 50NL 6m: Axs....get AI with nutdrw?
In hand2 you are probably against top pair or an overpair and you didn't bet enough to push anyone off that. If it was a passive game I would have checked the flop an seen how much I was charged to...

Re: 50NL 6m: Axs....get AI with nutdrw?
hand1 is simple. DonHanji has either a set or a straight, probably a straight. If you push he is going to call. So whether you should push or not depends entire on the pot odds vs chances of you...

Re: 50 NL 6m: 88 gets a ton of callers
I would have probably folded to the turn bet as you did, unless one or more of them were maniacs. The BB bet could be a bluff but there's already one caller and anyone with 99 or TT has you beat and...

Re: (nl25) Preflop Queens
Interesting. I don't think many nl25 players would have folded to the 2nd push as I did so the Seat 4 player must have felt he had the best hand and wanted to get all the money in the pot preflop....

There is a limit small stakes short-handed forum so why not one for PL & NL? It would let people find the threads that most interest them more quickly.

After reading the "Poker and Finance" article I ordered "Portfolio Selection" and have been reading it. Have other people read it, and if so, do you believe that the material can be applied to poker?

Re: Likelihood of a better hand????
It's easy to work out. Just work out the probability of the first opponent having a better hand (which we call a1). Then the probablity of the second guy having a better hand (a2) etc
The likelyhood...

Re: Harrington on Holdem III Discussion Group
Most of the correct answers are the ones that it says you actually do. Anybody can get a pretty high score just by realising that pros normally make the correct decisions and picking those answers. A...
