I call that turn bet. This is a draw or a 6 often enough.

But there is a caller in between us. If it had been just the bettor, I would have called. I folded because of the other caller.

Thoughts?

as played on the flop I raise that turn to like $10.

This board is somewhat dry, so cbetting might be alright on this flop.

I would have probably folded to the turn bet as you did, unless one or more of them were maniacs. The BB bet could be a bluff but there's already one caller and anyone with 99 or TT has you beat and may well have checked the flop there. The BB could also have an overpair and been attempting a check-raise on the flop. There are a lot of dangers and you also have to consider a possibly big river bet. Even one of the two eights on the river isn't sure to be an out.

Some people might think this advice is slightly weak-tight but if you don't yet know the other players here you're better off saving your money until you have some sort of reads.

After 2 players have shown weakness by checking on the flop I would make a C-Bet of 6.75..You could well have the best hand and even if you do not win the hand now you will thin the field and improve your chances of winning the pot UI(should you be ahead)..

As played I would have a hard time folding the turn to that weak sauce even with the caller..This weak bet can easily by a draw, weak under pair or a bluff..The caller is more likely to be on a draw(FD or straight draw)

This all sounds right to me if Villains are the usual school of donkfish.
