Re: ($16) 99 vs. huge preflop overbet

Unless you have a read that he's tilting you should be flipping at best. Why do it so early?

Re: ($16) A3 bubble spot

All-in w/ any two cards w/ that few blinds. A3 is a monster for 6.5 blinds.

6 vs 10 players - general question

Should I be doing anything differently in 6 max turbo tourneys (70:30) vs 10 max non-turbo tourneys (50:30:20)?

I started playing relatively recently so this may just be a statistics fluke, but I...

Re: Best line usually with this overpair situation?

bet/fold?

What are you ahead of that'll raise your bet on that flop (and that 3bet PF)?

Re: 3.25 bubble Fold this?

Seems like an easy push. If button is in any way decent he knows you're not playing unless you have a monster (because of the short-stacked BB) and so should be raising with a very wide range here.

Re: QQ 3 bet pot OOP on TTx flop

I can't see AK or AQ raising you on flop. Given the action I'd say he has JJ+ most of the time, and maybe sometimes AT or 88.

Re: AK preflop vs pair, general question

I know the read is impossible to make, which is why this is a general question and not a specific hand one.

What about fold equity? Seems like you're assuming we have none.

So if you magically...

AK preflop vs pair, general question

Suppose you raise 4x with AK and someone reraises you to 15x and you know for a fact they have QQ-. Would you push AI preflop? Does your answer change with position and/or opponent type?

Also what...

Re: NL50 KK Heavy pf action.

You are going to (and want to!) be all-in on this flop no matter what, right?
If your opponents are aggressive enough that if you check they'll bet - I'd rather c/rAI (or maybe c/cAI - depending how...

Re: 25nl:QQ Help me out here..

Bet a bit more on the flop
I like checking on turn because if you bet here the only thing that is calling is a J or a K.
If he checks behind then you can safely valuebet the river, if...

Re: 50NL: Folding another set

Why?! Hero smacks himself for folding a set to such a small river bet because of his fear of closet monsters.

To give you a bunch of hands he could have that you beat - two random diamond cards,...

keeps the pots smaller for c-bets, which i do quite a bit

[/ QUOTE ]

I imagine you get a lot more calls though and have to fold to reraises post-flop a lot more often?

Re: 25nl:QQ Help me out here..

Bet more (pot) on flop - it's a very drawing board (and as you said yourself you shouldn't vary your pf raise).
If he calls, I'd probably pot the turn as well (and fold to a raise). If he STILL...

Fold preflop.

Re: Help how I should\'ve played this QQ better?

[ QUOTE ]

Huh? For that exact reason that he's got 40% of his stack in - he'd probably stack off with 99-JJ.

I wasn't so sure about his PF-3betting range and thought...

Once BB calls on flop, he's got 40% of his stack in and won't let go. Check river. You don't beat anything he would call with.

Re: Help how I should\'ve played this QQ better?

Just put him AI on the turn. If he called pf raise w/ an 8 good luck for him, and if he called your flop bet w/ just overs, good luck for him again - just sigh, take notes and use it to have better...

Re: Ugly overplayed AK....

I think your 3b pf is fine and with this flop I can't see why you won't c-bet (unless of course you want to c/rAI). c/c is super-weak, doesn't give you any information and that's such a small bet...

Re: Nl 50 deep stacks vs very loose opponent

You're scared on the flop against this opponent of what - trips? Why are you not reraising him there?

Re: What do you do?

It's marginal in terms of stack sizes but with that many calls ahead of you I think it's OK to play this for set value.

Re: Big draw in bb, nl25, what to do?

Reraise flop (if reraised again - push - you have the better hand pretty much independently of what he has on flop), bet turn once hit, bet river - get all the value you can from your hand.

As...

Re: 25NL - KK on staright/FD board

Imho you're underestimating his range and 20/10 calling 3b isn't just a set or AK in this spot (KK or AA would've most probably 4-bet pf). Given his flop bet I'd add 99, AQ, KQ, AcJc, (maybe also...
