Re: are we overreacting to this bill??

Yes, from what I thought I read in the bill.

I saw nothing in it that said "playing poker online is illegal."

I did see restrictions--prohibiitions--on usind U.S. banking institutions to fund...

Re: Kahty Liebert angle me out of the main event....

I am not saying it was cool for her to say what she did.

I am saying that, had OP hit an ace or king, he would have been ecstatic, and would have laughed off her comments. If the other caller had...

Re: So that wasn\'t the prize money on the table?

The briefcases look just like the ones Milwaukee's Best gave away for runners-up prizes in their free tourneys earlier this year!

Re: Kahty Liebert angle me out of the main event....

Am I the only one that's thinking OP's outrage is 20:20 hindsight, aggravated by minimal live experience?

Re: Can\'t I use overseas bank and link to my poker account?

How much intelligence does the overseas bank need to see that it can make a little bit of money on millions of accounts by setting up an easily accessible Internet banking solution to this fiasco of...

Re: Recommendations for impulsive trip to AC...

take your wife or girlfriend (but not both!) with you.

have her register with several casinos, give her a few bucks to play slots with.

you will never have to worry about paying for a (midweek)...

Re: AC Casino Revenue

Offering poker is the same as General Mills putting another brand of cereal on the shelf.

A lot of people (myself included) would never play at a craps table. But if you put some freeze dried...

Re: BODOG STOLE MY WINNINGS!!!

Your (and many of the other posters' on this subject) logic is flawed.

Bodog may not have stolen anything from OP, but I strongly doubt they returned the $400 he "won" (or any part of their rake)...

Re: Looking for top quality laptop, any suggestions?

Can't answer that, can't judge either.

I purchased a Toshiba laptop around Xmas for my daughter @ Best Buy--when I compared it to others on the Internet the next day, it seemed like it provided a...

I am still working on the one they put out 3 weeks ago.

Re: Casinos reporting winnings

I always thought the rule was that $600 and over had to be reported--I believe that is the cutoff used at racetracks and (MD) on winning Keno tickets.

If I do not get a form may I assume the...

Re: $5.50: QJs in MP

If he is playing weak tight, and raising you after the river, I do not understand your call, much less your raise.

It does not seem he is trying to push you out with his raises--meaning, to me,...

Re: Is there a reason for open raising 4xBB with AK or 99-JJ

Wasn't this one of Harrington's recommendations--3-5 BB for a big pair, towards the higher end when you get down to 99 and TT? (I misplaced my book so I can't give a page ref.)

Re: Mil. Best Poker site down?

They include a room for a week and $1000 cash (and I think maybe airfare) for the winner. And (for this Saturday) there will be no more than 395 players. And my math is off by a decimal point. I...

Re: Mil. Best Poker site down?

A few may pass (if they dring enough of The Beast they might just pass out!!!) but you have to look at this as about a $400 buy in tournament--based on the number of entrants and the value of the...

Re: Casino keeps $700 man found

I lost $400 once.

Just opened up my wallet to show my id at the library, and next time I looked it was gone.

I reported it to security at the library and am still waiting for some honest soul...
