Borgata Poker Rate

I've heard a rumor that the Borgata has discontinued its poker rate and I am trying to find out if this is true or not. I tried the search function but came up empty-handed. Any help that could be...

Are there other games out there like this? Or is this the stuff that makes the Pink Chip legendary?

Re: How do I squeeze cards?!

I was actually curious about this myself. We play a lot of deuce to seven triple draw at my home game and I wouldn't mind squeezing there. I don't think I would ever do it at a casino though...

Re: The Trop AC: Trip Report (Too Long)

Sounds like a good trip. I am suprised that some of the betting was so small. Some nights it seems like every pot is raised $20 preflop at that limit.

I hate your min-raise in your straight...

Re: Delaware?

They have just recently begun entertaining the idea that there will possibly be table games in Delaware.

I for one have my fingers crossed.

Re: Atlantic City #2 report

Make sure you reserve a room at the poker rate in advance. Just showing up with a regularly booked room and askign for the poker rate usually doesn't fly, and almost never on the weekends. They...

Re: AC Tropicana 7.5/15

10% to $4. Its nice though, they comp $1.50 an hour instead of the normal buck. That game can be amazing or terrible, I've never seen it anywhere in between. I love it.

Re: Annie duke takes on the world...

I was really put off by the way that Annie carried herself during heads up.

In the second hand she put all of her hand post flop as a significant dog and sucked out.

Then she had the nerve...

Re: How to reload in an uncapped NL game?

There are many players that really don't give any thought to the concept that people are there for reasons other than "To have fun and gamble it up." These players need to be identified and dealt...

Re: What\'s amount of profit is considered \"killing\" 1/2 NL?

Haha, I almost mentioned that because I knew someone would correct me. You are correct, max buy-in at Harrahs is only $200. $300 is the standard in AC though.

Re: What\'s amount of profit is considered \"killing\" 1/2 NL?

Note that the OP asked what a "killing it" amount is, not a sustainable amount.

Re: What\'s amount of profit is considered \"killing\" 1/2 NL?

Here in AC all the buy-ins are $300 and I don't consider myself to be "killing" a game unless I'm in the 40-50/hr range. Anything lower is just good.

Re: Have you seen exagerated preflop raises in 2/5 NL?

At the Borgata I used to play 1/2 NL with a guy who hated pocket aces and kings. Every time he got them he would open raise to $60 or $70, even if no one had limped yet. He would routinely get...

Re: Recommendation for Weekday stay in AC

You have to have prior play on your card at the Borgata to get the poker rate, so this will not be any help to you.

What is the usual poker rate for the Borgata on weekends?

$120 plus tax and fees last time I stayed there. It ends up being around $145. Weekdays are the real deal.

It still goes, I play in it every chance I get. It doesn't hurt that I've run well while playing it, but I've always had a good experience.

Re: biggest wins/losses

I play in a 1/2 NL game and I've won $800 on many occasions. Not really a big deal. One guy there has lost $1600 in a night between him and his wife.
