Default ARE YOU LEAVING?

You know when you're racking up your chips and trying to quietly and ubobtrusively leave the game, there's always some [censored] who says "ARE YOU LEAVING??" Anyone have a smart-ass response for this annoying question?

Not sure why this bothers you. I ask if I want to change seats. Others might ask so they can notify the floor man that there will be an open seat and the brush can call down the board to fill the seat. The new player can get chips and be ready to go when you leave the seat.

i sometimes ask people this because i want the seat or something and i don't want to lock up a seat that isn't available, but would like to have first go at it, plus sometimes people racking are just coloring up...i don't think this is a douche question at all...lighten up...

Are you worried about being follwed to your car and robbed? If that is the problem, then just say you are going to the buffet and might sit back down later.

I wonder what other polite, just conversational questions annoy you? Can someone at the table say "hello" when you sit down? Ask you how your day is going?

isn't he referring to someone asking him if he's gonna leave without giving them a chance to win the money back?
