You are 3betting w/ a marginal hand that misses ~ 7/8 flops OOP against a reasonable player. This is simply -EV at 200NL (lmk if you need me to elaborate on this).

It is not correct to mix -EV moves because you like to "mix it up". This is fairly bad reasoning.

Pre-flop mistakes tend to put players into very marginal/difficult spots post-flop. Which is exactly what happened here.
