Hero?

Since there was no PF raise I don't give him credit for an ace or large PP. Maybe he has a T or smaller PP? What's your move here? Or should I have folded earlier?

Comments appreciated.

Why only call PF, I'd raise if I play the hand. Giving a free flop is the same as gambling!

He doesn't have an ace, I go in for a bet. You only get action if he calls with a ten (so you cant bet too much) or if he wants to bluff you, saying you dont have an ace either.

I thought at the time that the hand was too good to fold, yet not good enough to raise with. What range do you typically raise with in these spots? Are you folding everything else (raise or fold PF only)?

[/ QUOTE ]It's pretty much a raise/fold for me. If I enter the pot without a raise I only leave myself open to rag hands which could hurt me if I would flop a high pair.

My range would be dependent on the player, my image and the gut feeling at the moment

This is however not a hand I would push.

IMO entering a pot from the SB/Button first in the pot without a raise is almost always bad.
