10/20: on which street do you fold this middle set?
Villain is a regular, standard TAG, I have not seen him do any big big moves, and we stay out of each other pretty much.First time I see him mini raise though.
I felt bad calling that turn, but I felt pretty bad folding it too.... what's your line? Game #4136555033: Hold'em NL ($10/$20) - 2007/05/18 - 19:53:20 (DST) Table "Prizepool" Seat 4 is the button. I really thought that he would slowdown with any overpaire here, I mean , he kept firing both turn and river on that flsuh coming?
couldn t put him on a hand worse than the flush.maybe a leak i dunno |

the only hand he valuebets on turn and river that you can beat are set of threes maybe QT, flush is a much larger part of his range so the river fold is marginal, maybe correct. What is your plan if you fill up on the river, checkraise?

Re: 10/20: on which street do you fold this middle set?
I called for two reasons:
1)I may fill up and go for either a value bet or a CR all in depnding on the player 2)lots of players bluff the turn in position when the flush comes , but fail to fire a second barrel on river when they get called. But I hated to call. |

Re: 10/20: on which street do you fold this middle set?
Ok clever check on the turn. Now go all-in after he bets..
Assuming villain is aggro I like a turn c/r (after a flop c/r) because it might get the villain to semi-bluff with a big club or get him to bet a weaker hand. One fear I have with this though is if he checks behind with a small club and then river is a club and you lose lol. But betting turn seems exploitable and allows villain to play well, as well as c/c. Edit: Now that I think about it, assuming multi-barrel stone-cold bluffs are part of your game, bet/call push on the turn is prolly the best play. |
