$11R Blind vs. Blind Against Roothlus
Converted by PokerGeek
PokerStars NL Hold'em Tournament - 800/1600 Blinds (9 handed) Starting Stacks Seat 1: UTG+1 (T15429) Seat 2: MP1 (T62538) Seat 3: MP2 (T6585) Seat 4: LP (T24960) Seat 5: CO (T17501) Seat 6: Button (T21140) Seat 7: Small blind (T41325) Seat 8: Big blind (Hero) (T18699) Seat 9: UTG (T39912) 3rd hour of the $11 rebuy... This is the 1st hand that he has raised my blind, he moved to the table a few orbits ago. Is his raise size designed to prevent a S&G? Preflop: Hero is Big blind with 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. 5 folds, 2 folds, Small blind raises (11200), Hero...? |

His raise might indicate pretty much anything, but I'd guess his hand isn't superstrong. I don't really care here though, folding is your only option.

Is his raise size designed to prevent a S&G? [/ QUOTE ] No, it's designed to let you know you have 0 FE. And fold. |

Re: $11R Blind vs. Blind Against Roothlus
Well, fold.. but not because he rarely has a worse hand. A lot of the time he's gonna have 23o there too. Your problem is that you have no fold equity. When you're semi-short stacked you'd like to have some fold equity when you get it all in.
I would say given an aggressive player's range there. (*Roothlus definately qualifies) You'll probably have the best hand w/ K9o there maybe 60% of the time. |
