This is the 1st hand that he has raised my blind, he moved to the table a few orbits ago. Is his raise size designed to prevent a S&G?

Preflop: Hero is Big blind with 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].

lol...good point...i'm more tired than i thought...kinda tough to S&G when i'm 2nd to act...just wondering if the weird raise indicates any kind of weakness/semi-strength on his part?

His raise might indicate pretty much anything, but I'd guess his hand isn't superstrong. I don't really care here though, folding is your only option.

No, it's designed to let you know you have 0 FE.

And fold.

Well, fold.. but not because he rarely has a worse hand. A lot of the time he's gonna have 23o there too. Your problem is that you have no fold equity. When you're semi-short stacked you'd like to have some fold equity when you get it all in.

I would say given an aggressive player's range there. (*Roothlus definately qualifies) You'll probably have the best hand w/ K9o there maybe 60% of the time.
