By the by, for those of you who are panicking and withdrawing your whole 'rolls, do the poker world a favor and kick $20 of it to the PPA. Even if you don't read the newsletter, there's strength in numbers, and a membership of 300,000 or more looks better than the mere 100K+ they can boast now.

Ozi... that was an AWESOME parody! If we could revote, I think you would have won.

This isn't a parady but have you guys ever listened to Hide and Seek by Imogen Heap

I think its mood and lyrics just echo my mood:

Where are we? What the hell is going on?
The dust has only just begun to fall,
Crop circles in the carpet, sinking, feeling.
Spin me round again and rub my eyes.
This can't be happening.
When busy streets a mess with people
would stop to hold their heads heavy.

Hide and seek.
Trains and sewing machines.
All those years they were here first.

Oily marks appear on walls
Where pleasure moments hung before.
The takeover, the sweeping insensitivity of this
still life.

Hide and seek.
Trains and sewing machines. (Oh, you won't catch me around here)
Blood and tears,
They were here first.

Mmm, what you say?
Mm, that you only meant well? Well, of course you did.
Mmm, what you say?
Mm, that it's all for the best? Ah of course it is.
Mmm, what you say?
Mm, that it’s just what we need? And you decided this.
Mmm what you say?
What did she say?

Ransom notes keep falling out your mouth.
Mid-sweet talk, newspaper word cut-outs.
Speak no feeling, no I dont believe you.
You don't care a bit. You don't care a bit.

Ransom notes keep falling out your mouth.
Mid-sweet talk, newspaper word cut-outs.
Speak no feeling, no I don't believe you.
You don't care a bit. You don't care a bit.

You don't care a bit.
You don't care a bit.
You don't care a bit.
You don't care a bit.
You don't care a bit.

Hey Loyalguard. Can you repost your american pie parody? (Or did I miss it in the NC thread). I lost it in the BBV muck.

My father called panicking about this new bill. He figures he better not play since its "illegal". I explained to him the real skinny. Kinda makes me wonder how many other casual players will think the same way. Anyway...I'm looking for suggestions to help get him setup on another site.

He's semiloose passive type player. I'm still workin on that. He kills .5/1 at 4bb/100 over 15k hands. (I snuck pokertracker and pokerhud in on him and he loves it) He's break even at 1/2 over 10k hands.

-ap (although he tried it before with little luck)
-wsex (the no rake is appealing since he doesn't play many bonuses, I hear its tougher though.)
-Any other site that has plenty of low limit tables? (stars maybe?)

I'm always concerned when almost every player at my NL table has more than the max buy-in.

sorry--the above table was 2/4 limit

So, I didn't log in to Party soon enough to get a bonus, so I cashed out and said, "sayonara, fish!"

Like everyone, I had a love/hate relationship with Party, didn't play much there anymore unless there was a bonus, and if the American fish migrate to Stars or FT, I'll consider it to be the best of both worlds.

BTW, looking at pokersitescout.com, it seems like the immediate effect of the new legislation is...zero.
