[ QUOTE ]
Also everytime Ames takes a practice swing I think he's gonna hit the ball [/ QUOTE ] I noticed that he repeatedly fooled the cameras as well - they'd pan up looking for the ball flight and then realize he hadn't hit the ball yet. I went from annoyed at the lack of entertainment to happy for Ames - tee to green that's about as good a round as I've seen in years. I was sure the blowup was inevitable after 10, but then he played even better after that. A couple of other things: - pretty much wish I had those hours back, it wasn't very dramatic, but Olazabal doing the cabbage patch on 17 made it all worthwhile. - early in the round, Singh's caddy goes to rake the trap, Vijay just turns to him and says "nobody's behind us". I've always wondered whether final groups rake the sand or not. Apparently the caddy was either blanking or thought it would be a courtesy, Vijay thought it would be pointless. |
