Re: Deep 3b Pot
I really don't hate a fold here. Doesn't mean I do it at the table though...

Re: Deep 3b Pot
On the idea that I didn't reraise enough PF and DEEP ( I would make it ... like $30), as well as the fact that this is most likely a SA/WB i.e. flip "at best" scenario, i fold.
There could be game flow reasons that make this an insta call though, but those aren't provided so in 'standard' mode I fold |

Re: Deep 3b Pot
Also to note, MP is raising with SB still left to react to the raiser, which makes the MP holdings seem even better.

Re: Deep 3b Pot
Because we are
1) OOP, i make it $24 standard 100bb 2) We are deep and OOP, make it like $30 |

Re: Deep 3b Pot
We're OOP against a very deep opener - we want to cut down implied odds. And get money in when we're ahead, since he'll call with all sorts of non-dominated trash.

Re: Deep 3b Pot
actually i agree with raising more pre from oop if were 100 deep, but this is a kind of funky situation where it seems like we get no benefit from raising more (unless we can somehow get AI)
we cant raise enough to comfortably commit against the deep guy on the flop, and no matter how much we raise the 100 deep guy is going to either shove or fold most flops. seems to me. |

Re: Deep 3b Pot
chicago,
yeah, i love giving other deep players implied odds to hit in position in rr-ed pots. you're logic is twisted too- you should be raising more pf when deep, not when shorter. you want to build the pot larger pf so you can bust the pot up and hopefully be in faster. |

Re: Deep 3b Pot
I agree with orange. You want to get more money in the pot PF. Plus, there is a caller in between, which makes the pot larger, so you have to raise larger here. You basically want to get as much money in PF as possible and try to cut down on their implied odds as much as possible.
