If you put your opponent on two pair or a set, then why are u betting the turn?
Anyway I think that we're ahead alot more than we're not on the flop.. so I three bet the flop, and lead the turn.

I said probably 2P or Set (standard for a passive player raising) BUT I have seen this guy raising Air and LP in Big pots before. Therefor I called and lead the turn to see how he responds - would he have raised the turn again I would have folded.

grunch

C/c the turn would be better than leading the turn b/c with 2 lags behind you 1 of them is likely to bet.

I started writing to justify not 3-betting the flop because of all the cards that most likely kill you (if you are not behind already). But this pot is so large that I agree it should be 3-bet for value.

The turn is a little scary since it give JT a str8, but I still b/c.

River is a c/c - and I'm shocked that no one bet it!!

if you overcall the river on this board you are losing 100%.

Can't be 100%, but I see your point. I'd like to hear other opinions on this though. This pot is HUGE and we are playing at a donk-fest level. Isn't there a small (we need like 4%) chance that someone bets with AK or busted gutshot AT? The last to act LAG button, for example.

if you c/c a last to act person you arent overcalling.

an overcall occurs when you check, someone bets, and someone else calls before you. on a board like this when this occurs (considering postflop action) one pair is never good.

edit: i know many micros folks (especially new players) are reluctant to ever fold top pair on the river. its good to learn that as a simple basic rule but its not optimal. there are situations where that is true, but others where you just have to learn to lay down a hand. its something you'll get good at as you move up in limits.

The pot is going to big regardless so we have to 3bet the flop here with what we still believe is the best hand.
AK, AQ, even against KQ we still have equity against his hand if the board pairs either in runner runner or another 7 hits the board.

If his hand is real strong or he has a FD, would he raise there to blow the rest of the field out?????? 3bet the flop and the rest of the hand plays differently.

Once you just call here then you are defaulted to C/C down.

Turn bet is pointless, nothing is folding here and your just inflating the pot more with what is now a mediocre holding.

The river was the only street you played correctly.
