Re: Suite Face cards (QJ) OTB, cold call?
[ QUOTE ]
First off, I don't think this is WA/WB. He could have 6 outs against us, and WA/WB doesn't automatically apply whenever we have top pair on the flop against a PFR. WA/WB is something like having A5s against KK on a A97r board. Granted, this could be WA/WB, but since the flop is only Q high, I'm less likely to assume WA/WB and just call down. I think our hand is good here more often than not and I want to extract value. [/ QUOTE ] We are way ahead of JJ-66, AJ-A9, Q9. (Anything I miss?) Villain has 7-5 outs on the flop with A3-A2, AK, A4s/A5s + BDFD (here either spades, hearts or diamonds), QX hearts. These are I guess all possible and would often bet the flop and we would want to make them pay for their draw. We are way behind AQ/KQ/QQ/55/44 (and QT on the turn). (Anything I miss?) We have 5 outs vs. AA/KK. --- Hmm. I guess we are more often ahead here and need to value beton the flop. I also have to look up the spot in Stox's book he talks about Q and J -high pairs being good more often than A or K high. |

Re: Suite Face cards (QJ) OTB, cold call?
PF fine. Raising is good also.
Flop, raise. You have top pair with a decent kicker and a BDFD. My guess is he checks to you on the turn and folds to your bet. River, his check is a surrender signal after betting other streets. Bet. |
