I disagree, if I have KK/AA I have no problem with tripling up here, if raising to 4k is more likely to get other people allin with me, that's fantastic. That said, I'm pushing too to disguise my hand (both this time, and other times when I push without KK/AA). I'm assuming that if someone calls your raise here they're calling a push on any flop.

your first 1/2 was my point, with 30 people left, I want to take AA three ways and build a stack for the win

I think you might be giving the other players too much credit as far as "disguising" your hand by pushing

If I have AA i don't mind a three way pot but if I have KK I don't want to face an under pair and somebody with an ace.

I push this. MP looks to be using a standard isolation play and your hand is too good not to take advantage.

Call and go for the win. ITM is meaningless in those things. The only way ITM should factor into your decisions is around bubble time as making donks play weak.

I might fold this if I thought MP was a good, very tight player.

The better a player MP is, the more you should lean towards pushing, IMO. He likely has noticed that UTG sucks and is looking to isolate. The time I would fold QQ in this spot is if I thought that MP was a weak-tight player. They're the ones who are likely to show AA or KK here.

This is a 180/20 on stars. I beat him into the pot.

In any other tournament, I would consider mucking. Not in these things. He has something like 33 or A7.

Agreed that you have to come along on this one.

I would might lay down QQ if a third big stack was all-in before the action got to me, but that's about the only time.

JJ is much closer, I think, and I probably dump that one.

Gobbo,

Yeah, my default is to call for sure, esp. given the donky 180/20s. But there are players, even in the 180/20, that are tight and passive enough to muck this to, IMO. Very few and far between, and that's why I would need a strong and specific read.

Also the chances that a player that I would fold this to here has a big stack with 30 to go are very small. If they're around, they're the short stack.
