in NVG there were a couple articles linked of a Korean or Japanese dude who was so addicted to the role-playing game that he was playing in a cyber-cafe that he stayed in his seat for 3 days straight or something and then died apparently from lack of food, water and sleep.
Anyone know of that thread from a couple mths ago? This kind of reminds me of that.

there was a thread somewhere along time ago asking about theoretical deposit bonuses. And the question was if u could deposit 10,000 and it was a 100% bonus. would you do it? meaning you would have to clear 10,000 worth of a bonus. years ago I wouldnt have but today I would in a second. I would deposit 10K even if i only got a 25% reload bonus.

Considering I started off this year trying to pace myself at 10k pts a day i am going to say you are all crazy. I lost most my bankroll, played like [censored], and had to give up limit bc how bad of a mind [censored] it became to me. I had about 200k after january meaning i fell behind my 10k a day w/in first month. I had started 10 tabling 1-2 down to 30-60. My roll dwindled down so bad i was forced to play 5-10 and 10-20 and it became nearly impossible to push trough 10k a day and I began settling for 6-7k. By mid march i was disgusted and falling well behind all the sng players. Back then you had a combined maybe 40 tables( 6 max) between 10-20 and up and thats being generous. I can only imagine games have gotten tougher so all this hypothetical bs doesnt matter playing limit it would be impossible. As for s&g's I would imagine a few people could pull it off. What would make it worth it who knows but I would like to see what scotty would offer.

What about the sick prop bets? The action you would get off trying to do this would be sooo so sick. I am sure that you could factore these into your numbers as reward for making SN (Prestine?)

The problem with prop bets is that for them to be of a significant amount then the person trying this would have to have a significant amount to pay them should he lose. The more money someone has the less likely they are to finish.
To keep someone going all year is hard. Something like being in jail but with computer access and no curfew would be ideal. Being hospitalized for a year would work so long as whatever you had didn't cause you to be in pain or sleep. I've always wanted to be 2 inches taller. This could finally be my excuse to get leg lengthening surgery.
