Re: NL200 99 vs. shortstack
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] He is not folding the turn if you are beat. His betting range is larger than his calling range, slight but larger. Therefore check calling is better. [/ QUOTE ] With stacks how they are he is calling every time on the turn. His calling range is 100% of the hands he has at this point. [/ QUOTE ] is there any way he is checking down TT and KQ (if the king doesnt hit on river), QJ, QT?? granted he will probably shove flop with a queen...but he is not calling on the flop with nothing so I dont really see what betting the turn does normally it would be to ensure he doesnt bluff us, but in this case we want him to try since we are calling 100% of the time anyway |

Re: NL200 99 vs. shortstack
why didn't you just raise to somewhere around 26-30 pre and shove on the flop regardless of the texture?

Vs a 45bb stack I prefer flatcalling myself. I think vs a bigger stack his calling/pushing range is gonna be a lot tighter. I really don't mind this strategy if he seems really loose/bad though. |
