Bummer everyone folded pre on this one. I dont think u would have gotten anymore coinage out of the small blind no matter how u played it. He was probably just trying to defend and didnt have much of anything. I'm not sure why he called the flop.

I have noticed you have "grunched" the original post yet you read the replies first (this is not grunching)

If you are interested on the origins of "Grunch" here it is: GrunchCan's Challenge

(I have noticed he has changed his name & avatar)

I think he meant, "bummer, everyone else in the hand folded preflop." Which is a moot point. If everyone else hadn't folded I hope you not still in the hand with A2o.

Right now I'm feeling pretty stupid. What am I missing here? Why wouldn't I raise in the button with an ace, even the worst possible ace, once everyone folds to me? Isn't it very likely I have the best hand? Granted, if some else has an ace I'm dominated and I have to be careful of that but even then aggression might win me the pot and there's a fair likelihood of a split if the opponent's ace kicker is low enough.

Beraducate me.

lol, my bad, I thought you were referring to the other posters who said to fold pre-flop when I read your post. (FWIW, if there were pre-flop limpers you probably would of folded anyway!)
My original post was not in spite, I was just trying to help.

(btw I was referring to GrunchCan's change of name & the jug of red cordial avatar he used to have)

[Edit: this thread is getting out of control, but then again I haven't read any posts with lunch orders in it yet! ]

Ok lol I'm not going to bother with the long list of quotes here but thanks for the reply Gib. I really am trying to do this the correct way and all corrections are welcome from anyone.
