nothing that calls down is looking you up on the river for this much.
Shoving the river doesnt make much sense as nothing you have beaten is calling.

yeah i really hate the river shove, only hand that realistically can pay it off is QQ or possibly TT but unlikely

So what? Villain is never checking behind with a better hand or bluffing with a worse hand. Because we aren't c/f shoving is the best play.

I like this thinking. With 2pr on board some people just dont believe youve got an overpair

However i think villains calls are quite scary. I would check river and frequently expect a weaker hand to check behind. Since few weaker hands are calling a shove anyway, I think it is better to check.

don't know y so many people advocate checking turn or c/c river, i think ur play is standard OP

c/c lets worse hands get off cheap and the poster said he suspected villain wasn't good.
