i'm basically against any plan that involves inducing aggression from the two mostly passive guys left to act.

yeah, i would probably go ahead and 3bet.

the sample size is really small, we still have a more than reasonable chance of having the best hand, we have outs if behind and if one of these guys wakes up and caps it or shows aggression later i know i'm not showing down UI.

You dont' really have 6 outs. Sometimes you will hit your six but that makes somebody a straight or they have a straight already. Sometimes you will hit your straight but somebody will have the same (or better) straight.

It's hard to exactly how often these things will occur but I doubt you have on average more than 5 outs. So if you think somebody has an ace or better on the turn I'm thinking this is probably a fold but it's close.

Its heads up at this point in a raised pot. WTF do u think villain is holding 78?
OP obviously puts villain on a big to medium A

Bet/3-bet flop, bet turn. Profit.

i 3bet the flop.

[/ QUOTE ]

Yep.

I think with certain line-ups of opponents, going for a flop check-raise is the correct play. Bet-Three-bet is the default for me though.

To be honest I missed that the other guy folded.

But villian can still have have a 3 (especially bad if 63), 54 or a A6 type hand. The point was that if we are we are behind on average we won't have the full 6 outs and that needs to be considered when thinking about a marginal call.
