Default $5/10 Pocket 66 in BB

Full ring table at Full tilt. Table is quite loose. MP2 is 14/4/1.1 and CO is 24/3.3/0.7. My first hand at this table.

Full Tilt Poker
Limit Holdem Ring game
Limit: $5/$10
9 players
Converter

Pre-flop: (9 players) Hero is BB with 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
3 folds, MP2 calls, MP3 folds, CO calls, Button folds, SB calls, Hero checks.

Flop: 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (4SB, 4 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, MP2 raises, CO calls, SB folds, Hero calls.

Turn: A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (5BB, 3 players)
Hero checks, MP2 checks, CO bets, Hero calls, MP2 folds.

I think I'm behind here, I call here because I have 6 outs. So 7:1 pot odds are needed, but pot is offering 6:1. I think it is very likely that at least 1 other BB is coming to the pot.

River: 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (7BB, 2 players)
Hero checks, CO bets, Hero folds

Maybe a call is profitable? What do you think?

looks fine to me. Turn is thin indeed, but he may also check behind a missed draw or something on the river.

*nod*, I usually add a couple "outs" to account for the times this gets checked through and we scoop.

I'm not sure if that applies here with a new person betting the turn... I wouldn't be surprised at all if MP2 only has a draw though.

You dont' really have 6 outs. Sometimes you will hit your six but that makes somebody a straight or they have a straight already. Sometimes you will hit your straight but somebody will have the same (or better) straight.

It's hard to exactly how often these things will occur but I doubt you have on average more than 5 outs. So if you think somebody has an ace or better on the turn I'm thinking this is probably a fold but it's close.

To be honest I missed that the other guy folded.

But villian can still have have a 3 (especially bad if 63), 54 or a A6 type hand. The point was that if we are we are behind on average we won't have the full 6 outs and that needs to be considered when thinking about a marginal call.
