I to would much rather have 86s than A6o. I hate playing A-Rag.

When did we start getting a choice in the cards that we are dealt?

We don't. We get a choice in the cards we play.

Unless the Big Blind is a frequent raiser, folding too much in this spot is a leak. With a 60% SB and poor playing opponents, any two cards are probably profitable here. I would only fold the absolute junk (J2o,83o), certainly playing any two suited, any ace, and any two gappers.

Even if this is a slightly -EV play, I assume playing $25NL (or posting on this forum for that matter) you're still working to improve your game, and this is probably the cheapest way to learn to play better out of position. Playing in raised pots from out of position is much more costly.

Stars still gives me that option, but maybe thats because I bought it from concierge service. I thought you all chose what hands you got dealt.

For me with 50% sb,100BB effective stacks, & 3+ limpers I typically play:
22+,A2+,K3+,K2s,Q7+,Q2s+,J8+,J2s+,T6+,T2s+,96+,94s ,86+,85s,76,75s,65,64s,54,53s. Has worked for me.
I tighten up significantly if 50BB effective stacks and play ATC if 200BB stacks. Probably many players don't like to complete w/some weaker hand at 200 bb, but I think it's worth completing. It is very unlikely that a 200 bb pot will result especially if you do some pot control.

There was a thread in FR that the_main started where some people posted their ptBB\hand from the blinds. I was worse than almost everyone from SB, yet one of the best from BB. Turns out, I was completing too much from SB- especially Q6o-Q2o. My results have improved since from SB.

OP, how well you play postflop affects if it is a leak (obv). With the 60% structure you posted I would usually play any 2 suited, any pair, any offsuit connector, any ace, king, and most queens (definitely Q6o) if 100 BB effective stacks. I would fold some of the weaker offsuit hands even some hands like 62o where you can make a straight using both cards.
