yea...bet/call vs. an unknown although if he's good then you only beat TT and maybe 99.

LOL @ a shortstacker coldcalling 1/5 of his stack preflop

[/ QUOTE ]

I see this all the time. Then they fold when an ace flops. What the hell are they thinking?

If this guy has a Queen, then good for him. I'm willing to take a shot at the rest of his stack, so I'm putting him all-in hoping he has AK or a draw. If he has any common sense, I think he's probably pushing preflop with any pocket pair like JJ+ unless he sucks at poker. Think about from a rational perspective. Why would you donk off 1/5 of your remaining (very) short-stack by calling a preflop raise if you held JJ+? Wouldn't you be more inclined to push and hope you win a race? Villain's call preflop is puzzling and donkish. For example, If I was short-stacked holding QQ-AA I would stand up in front of my PC, do a fist pump, and shove all-in against a preflop raiser hoping he calls. If I get stacked, oh well.

As far as this hand goes, I'd put him all-in on the flop.

if everybody is thinking about b/c here, how come nobody is thinking about c/r AI?

in either case we're dead to a queen, and the FD's are going to get there anyways. but now we get more value out of 88=TT, and the like.

no stats, so no idea on agg factor, but it's not often they check this behind.

I agree, most of the time the short stacks will bet when checked too, so CR ai pretty good play... He probably has some pocket pair smaller than yours and will put you on AK when you check.

Oh and slowroll him before you click call.
