If Kx, why not 55? 55 is almost the same against random as KQ.

[/ QUOTE ]
OK - i just pokerstoved, and I would call anything where I have 60/40 advantage, so I'm changing my range to 55+, Ax.

[ QUOTE ]
if it was 5 straight hands, i'd look him up.

[/ QUOTE ]
i think this is a matter of personal preference and how much variance you can take - i personally think 3 is enough.

[/ QUOTE ]
I really don't think he's shoving ATC.
I'm too lazy to open up Windows and "stove" it, but if anyone else wants to, I'd put him on 22+, Ax, Kx, Qx, Jxs, Txs, J7o+, T8o+, and all suited connecters. What is that, like top 75%? Basically everything except junk like T2o...

This is not a SNG. Its nice that we have some huge manly men who want to flip coins but the smart money is on fold.

[/ QUOTE ]

Ev is EV, if you are ahead of villains range a call is mandatory.

[/ QUOTE ]

determning villains range is totally impossible and a call will never be +ev with this hand because you dont have enough of a sample. all you have is a poor guess

I agree with your conclusion (fold), but I'm not sure I like this reasoning. No matter what, we have to put him on a range of hands. Yes it's difficult to determine that range, and that's where the disagreement comes in. But to say that you just throw hand ranges out the window in this situation seems wrong.

Against the range proposed by calmB4storm even A2o is a marginal favorite (52% equity)and KQo gets 60%. The pairs from 44 up are also above 50%.

If I was moving in for the third straight hand, I'd sure as hell have a tighter range than the previous two hands.

Just sayin'...

[/ QUOTE ]I agree...the problem with this thread is that everyone assumes ATC. It might have been ATC the first time, then top 50% the second time, then top 10% the third...no way to know unless there's more of a read. But ON AVERAGE, I think ATC is wrong.

I agree that by the third time in a row villans range has prob narrowed towards the higher end of his range.

It's much better to get it in here with better equity, because even though you are probably ahead and calling is +ev, the preflop open-shoving donks often hit and run.
