As for the caping on the turn, I think that you probably missed out on a bet but that's ok, it happens to all of us.

Yeah, that's what I figured.

You are being way too results oriented. It's extremely rare to see a live 3/6 player 3-bet and then fold to a cap. When he has a T, you just made 2 extra BB's with the turn raise (actually a little less since he'll occasionally suck out on the river). Capping the turn is great and charges him to draw. Plus you'll get called on the turn and river a LOT by an ace.

That's creepy. It's exactly the same hand as I posted last week:

10/20 My nuts go bad and the turn is 3-bet

I agree. It seems to me that the cap on the turn is exactly the right play. The only time it is wrong is if the villian is 3-betting with air.

Given his pre-flop and flop betting pattern, he was most likely to have one pair on the flop. I believe that you would have heard from a set pre-flop or on the flop. Therefore, it is very unlikely you are up against a boat when the 10 hits the turn.

But is quite likely that the villian has a four outer to catch his boat. (Or a ten outer, if he has a 10 in his hand.) You need to charge him for this draw. Depending on how many limpers there were pre-flop, villian probably has the odds now to draw to a four outer. It may be close, but with implied odds, I think he might be right to call.

If villian has air, you probably cost yourself 1 BB. However, by raising you won a large pot. All in all, I think the turn 4-bet seems just fine.

That is a little creepy. The hand is very similar, but in my case it was heads-up on the turn. In your post, several ppl suggested folding the turn. I have a hard time doing that here in a 3/6 game in which my nut straight is probably the best hand. The more I think about it, I'm glad I capped the turn. Villain probably had just a pair.

Raise preflop, limping is kinda bad.

[/ QUOTE ]

why in the world would you want to raise with QJo in MP at a 3/6 game??? Unless you know that everyone behind you will fold, I just don't see where the value in that move...

[/ QUOTE ]

I said raising and folding are both fine. When you raise, you will get called by worse hands and get paid off by worse pairs. I don't see why this is so puzzling.
