They cancelled it? Say it aint so. Just kidding. This show was a complete mess and a waste of time for all involved. I watched the first 6 eps because I usually like the mystical deep thinking types of shows, and kept hoping it would get interesting or at least better, but this show was crap. Good job cancelling a couple of good, interesting, shows for this crap HBO. Could have kept Deadwood going instead. Idiots. At least Flight of the Conchords is pretty funny.

Missed the show on Sunday, caught the replay tonight.

I guess if the show had to end at this point, it did it pretty well. It was a great experience while it lasted. I really can't think of any other show that is comparable to how this show makes me feel while watching it.

I'll miss it.

I'm still kind of bummed it got canceled. But, I'm holding out hope that this may open the door for a "Deadwood" revival. Longshot, I know, logistical and scheduling issues, etc. (although, as a large part of the cast seemed to transition from Deadwood to JFC, maybe it wouldn't be such a huge issue). Maybe I'm just grasping at straws....

How many people from Deadwood showed up in JFC?

In no particular order I've got:

Morgan Earp (John)
Trixie
Francis Walcott
Charlie Utter
Ellsworth
and mother-[censored] Wu

Can anyone think of anybody else? Dammit I miss Deadwood...

I'm pretty sure that Conn was the car salesman.

I believe this is the definitive list:

John Monad - Morgan Earp
Dr. Michael Smith - Francis Wolcott/Jack McCall
Steady Freddie Lopez - Charlie Utter
Vietnam Joe - Whitney Ellsworth
Jerri - Trixie
Mark Lewinsky - Hugo Jarry
Anglo - Pinkerton Douglass

Edit: Almost forgot Mr. Wu

I stumbled upon a song called 2014 from God Dethroned that made me think of JFC.

In 2014 they take the world by storm.
We don't know who they are, but they'll come that's for sure.

2014
The dawning of a new day.
Take the world by storm.
All is lost and gone.

There's story in the bible, it's written in blood.
Nostradamus' predictions don't go beyond this point.

2014
The dawning of a new day.
Take the world by storm.
All is lost and gone.

Apocalyptic raids.
See the horsemen ride.
Apocalyptic raids.
When the sky turns red.

Something wicked this way comes.
The beast is rising. All (hope) is lost.

Apocalyptic raids.
See the horsemen ride.
Apocalyptic raids.
When the sky turns red.

In 2014 they take the world by storm.
We don't know who they are, but they'll come that's for sure.

2014
The dawning of a new day.
Take the world by storm.
All is lost and gone.

Apocalyptic raids.
See the horsemen ride.
Apocalyptic raids.
When the sky turns red.
