I hope thats how they intended to end the season and didnt have to throw in a lot of extra dramatic stuff to make sure the viewers want it to be picked up for season two.
El Camino salesman - whats his deal? John's dad speaking through him? I heard the ending line correctly right - "Mother of God, Kai?" Def need to watch this ep again. And Ed Oneil continues to be awesome ofc.

I will watch again although it pains me. Ed oneil was awesome in this show and made it worthwhile to watch I guess. Is the show def done? Overall a big dissapointment.

So ok, John is an alien robot sent to warn earth about an invasion in 2014? Or whatever. And Kai is going to give birth to the antichrist? Who knows...what a strange a beautiful episode. Hope that Milch will be allowed to make tv again after basically pissing on his career by making art instead of tv.

I'm happy it's finally over. I felt like a chump watching this show from week to week, hoping that something would finally happen...and being repeatedly disappointed when nothing did. The "finale" was much of the same.
