Re: I Think He Is Trying To \"See Where He Is At\"
OOP I'm not that huge a fan of checking this type of flop. In position I might check occasionally.
As played here I think I 1/2 pot lead the turn like others have mentioned folding to a raise. If the river is a non diamond I think I check and go from there. |

Re: I Think He Is Trying To \"See Where He Is At\"
meh, I find some opp's can be deceptive on these boards, whether on purpose or accident. Case in point: I raise utg w/ AsQc, mp calls. flop is Qd2d5d. I chk/call flop. Turn is 8c, I donk, opp calls. River is 2s and I chk to induce a bluff or maybe a bet from a Q, villain bets, I call and he shows QQ (wtf).
That said, I like a flop call and turn donk. If the donk is called, then I like a river c/c or c/f if the flush hits. 60bbs deep I probably just 4bet flop. I don't like the flop call and turn c/r because we arent getting called by worse. |

Re: I Think He Is Trying To \"See Where He Is At\"
One thing to think about is he may be protecting a smaller flush. He may have called pf with 9d,10d or jd,10d. He may be afraid that you hold the Qd or Kd with the Ace. With that in mind. I would call flop and bet 1/2 pot on turn if no diamond comes. If he raises, fold, if he calls, c/f river depending on the size of his bet.
