Re: Big stacked with 99 against isolator
Yeah, now you're 33% against 77+,AJs+. He has to be folding A LOT for you to make up for the odds you're laying in this pot when he does call. Save this move for a time when you see a guy raising light/folding too much.
Furthermore, 70k is a decent stack, but you just shipped 20% of it. I'm pretty sure your equity in the tournament is severely damaged here. Plus, the table saw you re-raise with 88's, and that's gonna hurt your ability to bully if they think you're light. |

[ QUOTE ] Both players played this fine. Pushing with a hand as good as 99 with some FE is the correct play and the opp had the right equity + odds to call. {fwiw, 99 is 46% against 77+,AJ+, not 40%} [/ QUOTE ] I ran it again, 99 is 40% against 77+,AJ+ [/ QUOTE ] equity win tie pots won pots tied Hand 0: 53.652% 52.91% 00.74% 494675232 6924342.00 { 77+, AJs+, AJo+ } Hand 1: 46.348% 45.61% 00.74% 426394068 6924342.00 { 99 } |

Firstly, read the FAQ. Don't post results, it skews responses and is the reason why you didn't get any responses. [/ QUOTE ] I thought you could post them the way he did; invisible. |

Re: Big stacked with 99 against isolator
I dunno if the results being in white really made that much of a difference. But, if you post them after giving people a couple hours to discuss the hand, before posting results, it helps people not be biased.
Here, it's a matter of raise range and call re-raise range. Knowing what he had does help with that. Also, at 12:30 at night on a Sunday, you probably won't get that many responses. You might want to try posting at a different time, rather than coming back a half hour and bumping. |
