Re: Am i the only one getting his ass BEAT in SPEED sngs?
Iffy/break even results at first, but now am doing much better. ROI has dropped, but playing 18/hour is great.

I didn't give these things much of a chance, and I'm glad I didn't. I played about a dozen or so and realized quite quickly that I wasn't going to give them much chance after that. [/ QUOTE ] |

Re: Am i the only one getting his ass BEAT in SPEED sngs?
I've played ~1500 of the 22s and my roi is in the 11-12% range...which is about the same as before the switch, the only thing is these things take less time and yes, the swings are much bigger. It may just be me, but every time I log on, I drop 10-12 buyins before I ever place and then gradually climb back up towards a winning session. Today I dropped 29 Buyins in 3 hours (with typical partyluck) and was seriously worried, then won 30 buyins in the next 3 hours...so yes the swings are alot bigger, but they are easily beatable, very similar to the old ones.

Re: Am i the only one getting his ass BEAT in SPEED sngs?
My ROI has been almost identical since the switch. Granted I am more of a 'recreational' player with a MT ratio of only about 1.25. (Soon to change after midterms are over this week...hopefully get up to ~4) ROI is currently 25% +- 5%. As everyone else has mentioned, you can have your runs, but they go both ways as we all know. 135% ROI last night.
I wish Poker Tracker recorded the times of the day that the tournament was played (perhaps it does, and of course I could track it by hand). It would be interesting to see what my $/hr or ROI is during peak times. I would be interested to read a post regarding play at different hours of the day. (I should do a search, but too lazy right now) The play at the 22s has been atrocious at times. I try to make time to play specifically during the evening hours even though I usually have homework and studying to do. Any thoughts from others? I am curious to see if party will start to regularly draw 100,000+ players soon. I sure hope so...the more the merrier. |

I'm at 21% after ~300 33s and ~100 55s, all speeds. There are a ton of regulars at both though. I was at Speed 33 all-star table last night... there was seriously 7 multi-tablers (including myself) sitting. Hopefully everyone else will start using some game selection, because I'm certainly not . [/ QUOTE ] I think I was at that table it was like 7 handed and all multitablers |

[/ QUOTE ] There is no correlation between the format of the SNG and the varience. It is only a function of the payout structure and the finish distribution. The swings will be the same for someone playing in 2 minute SNGs with a 10% ROI as they will be for someone playing in hour long SNGs with a 10% ROI. I do not yet have a big enough sample to comment on the difference between the new speeds and the old SNGs. |

Re: Am i the only one getting his ass BEAT in SPEED sngs?
Just to clarify, when I say swings will be greater in the speeds it is because ROI in them will be lower.

i was a very winning player in the 55's and a decent winner in the 109's.but i cant seem to beat the speed sngs. i didnt play much (only like 300), but i dont want to play a thousand of these before finding out that i am playing bad. so am i alone in this? [/ QUOTE ] Now that you can't figure out this new game, how are you going to make your $200,000? |

Re: Am i the only one getting his ass BEAT in SPEED sngs?
I was winning solidly in about 650 sngs before the Party switch. Since then I've played 127 speeds and lost 28 buyins. Life sucks.
