don't see how it could be a scam, but i didn't understand the nigerian fake cashiers check scam either.

are you a good winning player?

its probably a scam

I'm not 100% sure of the scam here, but it almost certainly is. Maybe it's a stolen credit card (as usual), then after you place in the tournament (possibly), he wants you to transfer via Neteller instead of on PS. Later, when PS finds out that the card was stolen, they take the money back from you. The "backer" has of course disappeared by then.

so what exactly does OP lose in this situation?

Not sure, maybe ZeeJustin knows.

lmfao, great line. This is why I want to move to Chicago despite the lack of poker. Hell, I can always make it on the internet...right?

if you do this 10000 times, the other player will never cash in the tournament.

if you have to think for more than 10 seconds about whether this is a scam and if you should block the other guy, just give up life now. its so obvious, even if you don't see how the scam works.

I didn't see what the scam was. Just seemed like an odd offer as I didn't recognize the guy. If he told me that he had seen me place in some prior tourney or played a bunch of sngs or cash games with me, I may have agreed. It just seemed to me like he was trolling.

Another good reason to move here...Italian beef sandwich w/hot peppers. Oh and there are some juicy games just over the border in lovely East Chicago Indiana(by lovely I mean smelly wasteland and by Indiana I mean Hickville)
