Re: When do you abandon ship? Or do you fight to the end??
I play it all 3 ways, it depends. I'm never sure what is best so I end up choosing my line somewhat randomly/somewhat based on board coordination. I'd love to see some guidelines on when to call flop, call down; 3-bet flop, bet turn, free sd; fold (flop or turn based on bkdoor outs)
Anyone happen to have this handy? |

"What am I hoping to get by betting?" This board is completely drawless. [/ QUOTE ] So you want to check the flop through with a vulnerable pocket pair and give two opponents a free chance to catch one of three additional overcards to your pair (or whatever other outs they might have). [ QUOTE ] If someone calls, you can't be very happy either. [/ QUOTE ] When I just get called here I am usually quite happy. Everything is going according to plan so far. Now getting checkraised OTOH kind of sucks. |

Even if the board dosn't have straight or flush draws, you are vulnerable to overcards. I am happy if they fold king jack.
