Re: 1/2 - KK in shutdown mode.
[ QUOTE ]
I didn't cap pf to c/r flop. Ya know, for disguising purposes. Is it that bad? [/ QUOTE ] I think it's bad only because the guy is an unknown. But since you did it, I think you should try to get more bets in the pot with a flop cap or turn check/raise. With the way you played preflop, your hand is much stronger than it appears to the other guy if he's paying attention. And if he is, he might be willing to put a lot of money in with hands that he thinks are best that are worse than yours such as AJ or QQ. I kind of get the impression that you not only tricked him into thinking your hand is weak, but then tricked yourself into playing your hand weaker than you could have. |

Re: 1/2 - KK in shutdown mode.
I cap preflop and if he still shows considerable strength by raising my flop bet, I call down. Based on read of him, it may even be a turn fold if he still is firing away at that point.

The lack of pf cap is ok against opponents who are paying some attention. I don't know if 1/2 FTP fits that description. [/ QUOTE ] But what is the point of deception when you freeze up postflop after a little bit of action? |

Better line? [/ QUOTE ] Check-raise the turn because that's the only reason not to cap the flop, just like the only reason not to cap preflop is to check-raise the flop. |
