co vs button you should prob either be 4betting pf or crai or something that puts more money into the pot.

tbh looks like he's got like KK slowplayed on the turn or like 67s. I'd pitched the hand on this river. C/rai on flop isn't bad for 100BB depending on his stats and your history with him. If he's TAGGY, your line was fine. If he's LAG, I sorta like c/rai on flop.

Generally in situations like this, and maybe this is a little transparent, I like to four bet like 3.5x preflop. It commits you if he pushes but if you do the math, accounting for the fact you are in the CO and his 3 betting range is a lot bigger, I think you need him to fold like 70% of the time for this to be +ev. Sometimes he will push with hands you have good equity against. If he calls its pretty gay but rarely happens against regs.

[/ QUOTE ] I understand the logic that the button knows hero is raising light, so button doesn't necessarily have a strong hand himself. But isn't 4-betting jacks tantamount to bluffing? the ONLY hand you are getting action from that you are "ahead" of is AK. Or is 4-betting pf permissible here to take away the positional disadvantage you give away if you just call his 3bet preflop? |
