Re: Erin Hills vs The Bull (Wisc Golf)
[ QUOTE ]
WLVRYN, interesting. I think the fact they're both short par-3s with peril all around is what makes them so awesome. So it doesn't take a lot of extra time to play the hole, but standing on the tee with a bunch of bets riding and needing to pull off a tough short iron shot is what makes it great. d_wrek, trip report about the bye hole plz. [/ QUOTE ] What Shivas said about the bye hole is correct...they plan on using it for tourneys because the pros hate blind shots. It's a tricky little hole...not long, but an elevated tee down onto a little-ish green surrounded by some crazy bunkers. In my opinion, much tougher than the dell hole, where bad shots have a good chance of funneling down to the green. As for using a caddie, the yardage books are pretty good...you'd probably fair a bit better with a caddie, but I wouldn't say it's a must. Our group found our way around ok. |

Re: Erin Hills vs The Bull (Wisc Golf)
I have played The Bull for our section CPC, it is fabulous and I rate it only behind Whistleing and the Blackwolf River Course, haven't played Erin Hills
