Re: AA line
Here's a thought - you underbet preflop letting a small pair like 66 in, then you overbet the flop and turn. Otherwise you are not a bad player - normally hard to pick.
Villain (oops, don't normally talk in the game - tapping the glass and all that) |

[ QUOTE ]
Yeah, well the thing is here you can't just get AA and go all the way with it. You put all your chips in here with a hand that does not win big pots that often after a flop is seen. You overvalued the AA here. You should not be betting it as hard as you were. I'm not saying that I wouldn't lose a decent size pot here what I'm saying is that you need to be careful in the future. [/ QUOTE ] You will see alot of calls from ALOT worse hands at 25nl. OP played this hand well imo. |

Re: AA line
I don't see how I underbet preflop or the flop.
My standard C-bet is PSB. I'm pretty positive that pf is standard. Unless I raise a non-standard amount, theres no way a small pair like 66 will not see the flop. |

Re: AA line
I'd like to say that I don't talk on the table for a number of reasons. Tapping the glass is just one.
What you are missing is that you played the average player at this limit. Against me, the smallest hand I call with is two pair, as I have to beat your overpair at least. Against the average $25NL player that play might be OK, but it will only win small pots and loose large pots against a player like me. The only way to get me to lay down a small pair preflop is to bet more than the pot, something more than 2.5 times. Otherwise if I miss, all you win is the preflop raise. Kind Regards The Villain |

Re: AA line
Gerund-
winning the preflop raise is fine. There will also be those times we both set up, and that is good too. There is simply no way I'm letting go of Aces on that board. the stats I have on you indicate that you are a 29/4/.7 player, somewhat loose passive- the very type that calls off their stack with AJ in this situation. Apparently I don't have a large enough sample size on you. |

Re: AA line
Unless the guy is a true maniac or true calling station, all the worse hands will fold, and all the better hands will call.
Even saying that you will probably win 25% of the time. |

Re: AA line
I think your turn push is getting called by better hands more often than it is getting called by weaker hands. I bet 1/2 to 3/4 pot on the flop for the same reason. I am greedy and the board does not particularly scare me.
