3 pitcher min. 1 player min at each offensive position except outfielders, 3 player min.

i thought it was pretty cut and dry with the total number of points. maybe i am not following your strategy?

I agree, I would be upset if this was a serious league.
Howard=MVP and Wright is the best 3b in the league.
(If your going to cheat make the trade the look fair, this isn't close!! Time to give someone the boot)

Was offered a trade:

Maine + Guillen for Victorino + Tulowitzki + Wagner

Not going to give which side is my side, but the dirt on the Maine/Guillen side is that they have abundance of wins, need saves and steals, and is 4th in the league but quite far behind the top 3 and manager is building to win next year or the year after. The side with Wagner is a team that is contending this year, and pushing for the win this season. He needs wins but have saves to spare.

Thoughts?

As for Maine, is he the real deal?

Maine is a decent pitcher, but he pitching a bit above his level so far this year. His stats like BABIP, HR/FR, etc are all leaning towards him being pretty lucky so far.

I think he'll still get a fair amount of wins playing for the Mets, but expect his numbers to regress a little bit.

I have to agree on Maine. He's been very good so far, but I don't expect it to last. That said he'll still generate wins. Also depending on your league scoring Victorino may not exactly be the greatest player to build with.

I definitely feel the same. I don't feel like he's a franchise pitcher, but being on the Mets, he'll get his wins. I just don't want to trade him now and have him turn around and become a stud next year, but I also don't want to hold on to him and have him bust on me next year. I see him as a permanent #2/3 guy IMO.

As far as Victorino, I'm not looking to build with him. I have Crawford and Holliday that I will be moving forward with, but I'm seriously considering this trade because with the added steals/saves, I think I might be able to make a push for a top 3 finish. With Guillen slowly aging, Tulowitzki should be a decent SS replacement next season anyways...

Just my thought process

I really would not worry about Maine becoming that great.

Just got this trade offer: Jason Bay, Orlando Hudson and Jered Weaver to me for Grady Sizemore, Ronnie Belliard and Ryan Freel.

My current lineup:

C - Martinez
1B - Young
2B - Fontenot, Belliard, Freel (2B/3B/OF)
SS - Jeter
3B - Iwamura
OF - Sizemore, Wells, Pence, Byrnes, Hamilton (DL)
SP - Oliver Perez, Washburn, Bush, Marshall, Randy Johnson (DL), Garcia (DL)
RP - Hoffman, Ray, Okajima

20-team H2H keeper league, R/HR/RBI/SB/OBP/SLG/W/SV/HLD/K/ERA/WHIP. Currently 2nd, been leading much of the year. My trading partner is near the bottom.

Thoughts?
