you sound like a total D-bag.

the getting up to check her stack, the bluff show, the speech, all around D-bagness.

And does it really matter if it was $75 or $55 if it was an "easy call"? Wasting time to do a hollywood and get an EXACT count on such a small amount is ridculious. Its not like you couldnt tell if she has $800 instead of $500.

You pull that [censored] at commerce, you're liable to catch a beatdown.

Of course you were out of line and you know it. That type of behavior doesn't get you very far in life, hopefully you'll realize that sooner rather than later.

The dealer said that she had "$55 or so" and the exact count was $50. That is definitely within the "$55 or so" range. I'm not sure if the $5 difference is worth making such a huge deal over.

Yeah, she was rude ... just let her be and take her money.

I took offense to that and then I got up walked over to her chair and leaned my head in to see exactly how many chips she had

[/ QUOTE ]

Would you have pulled this move with a guy? Probably not because most games I play you two would have been on the floor.

I'm about 6-6 and weigh about 230lbs... I really don't get scared of physical confrontation, but because of my size I really don't have to fight people anyways. And I really just got up took a few steps towards her seat and leaned over, I was able to count it from there.

I was in a really good mood just sitting back talking it up, having a good time and then this D-bag goes and ticks me off. Sure I acted like an @ss... but I think I had a right to know how many chips she had behind once she already signaled they were going into the middle whether I check or bet.

Getting up from the table was ridiculous.
You are lucky the dealer didn't kill your hand, you would have had ZERO recourse, even if it was protected.
Dealer:
"he got up and walked away from his chair"
Floor:
"Apologies sir, but you hand is dead, leaving your seat and or the table implies concession"

[/ QUOTE ]

Okay this dealer was clueless.... First of all it was my turn to act and she puts her stack in. Then the dealer looks at me like what are you going to do? I look at the dealer look at her look at the dealer again and tell her, excuse me I haven't checked to you yet. So she pulls her chips back. The dealer never directed any of this. I had to prod him for a chip count which he wouldn't give.

Shoot I didn't want to waste a bunch of time, but when someone is going to be so cavalier about betting out of turn and then be a horse's @ss to me when I ask for how much they have left, well then I'm going to take whatever time I need to get the information I'm entitled to. I just think it's poker courtesy I've never not voluntered how much I had remaining when another player asks me for a chip count.

I am yet to meet someone that asks this question that doesn't already know the answer.
