[ QUOTE ]
I was in the city limits, and I knew the cabbie was wrong. What is my recourse if it every happens again, refuse to pay him more than $11 and have him call the cops on me if he thinks he is right?

[/ QUOTE ]

Ask or get his cab number and tell him you're going to call in and report what he's said and doing. Get a receipt. If that doesn't work and you're feeling confrontational making him call the cops seems like a good idea. I might just say screw it pay him the money and then call in and complain later. It depends on my mood if I want to fight over a couple of bucks on principal.

I'd second guess myself next time taking a cab at that hour by yourself. If you were with a few friends, it would sway the story a little bit...definitly not worth the hassle (and 20 bucks) but i'd jus pay it and ::Lesson Learned::
