your hand doesnt make sense on the turn, you have no reason to check big hand ehre because theres not a great chance he will bet, so when you do he is bet/calling a ton.

Another thing that occured to me is that it might be better to make a smaller RR on the turn (that still potcommits me) in order to look more like a made straight.

Also I dont think I can raise enough to NOT give him odds to call with SC, esp. when my line looks a lot stronger with a big RR pf
